Personally would have not put the front plate on, or atleast just sip tied it to the lower grill. That's what i did with my Wife's G6 since I didn't want to drill holes in the bulper. year later and it's holding fine.

I've only been to that website twice, just for curiosity. Not sure what plate you mean, if you send me a link to the exact web page, I'll check it out.

And on the front bumper cover air dam, that thing wasn't on 10 minutes before a State Trooper told me (on my test drive) I had to have the License plate out of the front window and ON THE FRONT BUMPER!!! BY LAW!!! all the pull I had did me no good, but now I'm legal. I can always use that stuff that holds that screen door on the bottom of a row boat if I ever want to seal the 2 holes up! LOL!

I know, believe me I KNOW... but try telling the wife that when I have 16 cars here! I think she's going green and wants to make some gardens or something...I can't eat the cars!

BTW, I pulled off the full FE3 Phantom lower body kit, if anyone wants it let me know....KA CHING!

ManicMechanic, not sure if you've seen any of these on the net, so hereeeeeeeeeeeeeees JOHNNY!!!

I had seen the PPG truck. As far as I know, that's the only surviving 1988 Indy Hauler. I did find a POSSIBLE 1988 Indy Hauler in a salvage auction recently. Sad part is that it looks like it hit a brick wall at about 90 MPH, but it is a black over silver 1988 sportside, perhaps the graphics were removed or it may have just been a plain old sportside in the right colours.

And don't think I've forgotten you. My external HDD with all my pics died and I am in the process of getting everything recovered. Hopefully, i get everything and can share the FE3 and Indy pics.

One thing I would like to know if anyone knows...Is if they used any 1988 GMC suburbans, V1500 Jimmies or crew cabs in the race festivities...I'd love to find pics if they did.

Oh wow, what a forgotten gem you have there. I never really was a fan of body kits `til i saw that bumper on these w-body Cutlasses. Surely there is a company out there somewhere that can make replicas. Was it only the bumper that was unique or did the pace car have a full body kit?

Here's some pics from ebay. That Recycle Yard pic you posted of the Stepside looks like it hurt bad! When I get the trubute car done, we might just have to hook up to get some pics of the hauler and the pacer together. ManicMachanic, I'd love to see a pic of your Hauler project!

and as soon as I can get some pics of the grounds effect kit from the FE3 Phantom, I'll post em! There is one small corner that has damage, about 1 1/2 if that. The corner was knocked off when it was hit in a dark parking garage in Seattle. I was going to put it on the back of the tribute car along with all the side skirting, but I'm now thinking original pace car moulding in those areas might be best? hhmmmmmmmmmm?

Stay Cool gang

Manic, you can also see the 1988 Indy 500 race on youtube, lots of wrecks so they pulled those trucks out alot. They didn't even get thru the 1st lap without a wreck, check it out, it's under START of race, think it's #4, not sure

Here's some pics of the ground effects we pulled of the Phantom. I gave em real quick wash with the car wash brush, they could use a nice cleaning. The back piece rear passanger side that would be seen behind the tire is what's damaged. All the other little lines are just grass. I'll look for a pic of an FE3 Phantom to show what it looks like on the car, but the other pics I have posted of the Black FE3 Phantom here, are what these came off of.
