Baddflash Posted June 2, 2004 Report Share Posted June 2, 2004 Other than SES/codes , will there be any major problems damage caused by putting my auto memcal back in? I'm currently using a chip from a '90 gp 3.1/5spd but it just doesn't seem to run to good since the swap so I'd like to try running the original chip to see if it's possibly a tuning issue. Guest TurboSedan Posted June 2, 2004 Report Share Posted June 2, 2004 computer will think the car is in park or neutral all the time and will not get proper RPM when driving also i believe there are runability problems like poor idle and stalling that will occur same stuff the 5-speed TGP's run into when the auto chip is used maybe someone can add more i've heard the same. i never tried using my original 3.1/auto memcal with the 5-speed. i'm also using a '90 GP 3.1/5-speed memcal and my car runs great with it.
