:( I was doing about 90 when my front passenger side tire blew out. The whole car fishtailed around and smacked the curb. My whole rear suspension is trashed, front struts are trashed, rear struts are trashed, rear passenger taillight is gone, rear bumper barely hangin' on, and only 1 rim didn't get bent all to hell. :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Luckily I just barely grazed this lightpole which broke my rear taillight.

Well I was planning on putting it up for the winter and doing an engine swap so I guess I'll be more busy than I thought.

Murphy's Law is always kickin' my Ass and I just bought some Dubs for the ride.

i would prolly just buy a new car...it sucks to have that shit happen to you. If it was possible i would choose being injured over my car being wrecked and uninjured. My body heals at the cost of insurance when my car heals at the cost of me. hopefully the injury doesnt make my whole face fucked up for life or paralized, thats when i wouldnt wish that. hopefully things work out

Yeah I have already pulled the whole rear suspension out and I am starting on the engine bay next. Found a 3.8 SC out of Atlanta for 1250 with harness and computer. :fruity:

My friend with the rim shop let me get my money back on the dubs and now I can get the new motor.

sorry to hear it man, your car is a real beauty, how the the fuck did you go back to the rims shop with fucked rims and get your cash back? I'd love to know the answer to that!! Any more pics of your car than just the one on your site? Later Jay

I hadn't put the rims on yet I still had the old 17's on. I can get the trranny also for 400 more. This also allows me to take my piece of crap frame off my top too.

In the end it will be faster and look better. I hope.

ok, just remember that when the time comes that you get injured in an accident! Not everything can heal, a car is a machine that can be fixed, or if not, replaced and made into a clone of the old one.

hey just how hard is it 2 swap the 3800SC? i know the actual putting of the tranny and engine isnt too too dificult, so my question was wat is? Less say i got a hold of one, could a mechanic swap it in for me and an electrical automotive specialist connect the harness and all that other good stuff?

they made them to fold so the guys at the recycling center could speed up and get the import companies their "aluminum" back so they could make MORE imports...i suggest we shut down ALL recycling centers and rid the U.S. of imports!! 8)

if its one thing about imports that suck is that they FOLD in an accident like a sheet of paper. our cars are like tanks especially with front impacts

The W-body Cutlass seems pretty solid for a modern car but the '73-77 Cutlass was a REAL tank. My first car was a '73 Cutlass Supreme coupe. Fishtailed at 35MPH and smacked a small tree with the quarter panel. Big dent but no frame or suspension damage. A friend had a '74 CS, spun out on ice at 60MPH and went into a highway signpost's 2x2 foot concrete base. Bashed in the trunk to the rear window base and totaled the 12 year old car, but he didnt get hurt. Didn't handle like a W-body but had more legroom up front and a 350 4-barrel V8.
