GrandPrix34
What are the symptoms of a fualty crank sensor? Right now I have several issues with the car as you can see through my other post. I have a vacuum gauge and it reads normal vacuum...sometimes it will start dropping to the point where the vacuum reads late ign. timing...i already replaced the wires wit the 8mm taylor wires and that correct the idle some but i still get some stalling to where it dies sometimes. I OHMed check the fuel injectors all read 12.XX. The pluges/wires are new...the ign. module is also fairly new. ECM is also replaced wit a newer one. I know what a bad coil feels like so Im narrowing it down to the crank sensor.... What do you guys think?
4spdz34
check the wiring for the crank sensor and, late timing could also be a knock that the knock sensor is picking up but u can't hear
regalized
when my crankshaft position sensor went out, the car would go dead without warning and wouldnt start up for about 30 minutes then one day it would just roll over but wouldnt fire...regalized
DaveFromColorado
a lot of times a falling vacuum gauage can also mean pluged exhaust, if all the exhaust can't get out of the cylinders, you can't expect it to draw much vacuum. --Dave
