nxk2000 Posted May 4, 2004 Report Share Posted May 4, 2004 Is it possible for the ECM to read the VSS incorrectly but give the correct readout on the dash? After studding the wiring schematic for the VSS it looks like the supply line to the ECM splits internally. It goes to a voltage regulator and then to a pulse switch that supplies the cruise control module and the instrument cluster. I’m getting a sporadic readout for vehicle speed on my scan tool.
