brake pad problem

Ok something weird happened yesterday so i have a question

The inner (closet to the engine) brake pad...or pads...(not sure if the other side did the same thing)...somehow wore out...i haven't even had the pads a year yet...and i don't ride the brakes either

Is ti possible the caliper was off center causing that inner pad to rub againt the rotor even when the brakes were not applied?

If so then how do you get them on there right so it doesn't ahppen again?

Otherwise...any other ideas?

often you see this for several reasons, if the calipur pin's aren't functioning as they should be, it would cause only the inner pad to do the work of stopping the car, second one is air in the line, not allowing the piston in the calipur to return properly, and thirdly is bad brake fluid (lots of water or other contaminates) that will expand under the heat of braking and forcing the piston out, causing more heat, with then expands it even more.

just a few things to look into...

you think the rotors could have cause it?

it's got some old ass rotors on it

Probably... if they're really worn or warped your pads aren't going to like it.
