POR-15 is the greatest thing since sliced cheese!

The bottom of my left rear quarter rotted out. This is the place where the fenderwell metal meets the outer body. It looks to me like a pinhole went through the fenderwell and let water into that crease.

I found a few comments about POR-15 on this board and decided to check it out. This stuff is so cool! The label is correct - there is nothing that will take it off once it has cured. In the "tips and tricks" leaflet they gave me with it I saw that you can soak fiberglass cloth in it instead of resin.

After cleaning and wirebrushing the rust I pinted the area with the stuff. Then I laid about 4 or 5 layers of POR-15 and fiberglass to build up the surface. This stuff dries pretty damn hard.

I just found out they also make putty and seam sealer. I'll be using the putty to fill and smooth the area over the fiberglass. I think this chunk of my car will outlive civilization...
