91GranSport Posted November 6, 2002 Report Share Posted November 6, 2002 Are the new W-Body replacements due to come out in '04 considered to be the Gen3 platform? If so, does anyone know what kind of powertrains they'll have? My '91 Regal GS needs a bit of bodywork, new paint, new struts/shocks, tires, exterior and interior trim pieces. 91GranSport Posted November 10, 2002 Author Report Share Posted November 10, 2002 Apparently the original design was ditched because Bob Lutz, originally of Chrysler, said that the new Buick Regal looked terrible. Apparently it looked similar to the current Regal although it had portholes and a rather high trunklid.
