Coolant Temperature Gauge on Dash - 1993 Regal

I cannot locate the sending unit for the coolant temperature to the gauge on my dashboard. I have a 1993 Regal Gran Sport with the 3800 series 1 engine. I found the location of the coolant temperature sensor on the rear intake manifold that controls the ECM but cannot find the unit for the dash gauge. I read somewhere that this unit has only 1 wire coming off of it. Any help would be appreciated.
