I am having difficulty because there are 2 sets of wires that go to the stock 6x9's but I only need one set for my new speakers. How do you hook up the aftermarket speakers? Addicted2bass Posted May 2, 2011 Report Share Posted May 2, 2011 Is it a factory amplified system? You can try just hooking up one set of speaker wires. If you only have mids or only highs then you need to hook each set of wires up seperatly. The speaker wires for the mids will go to the main terminals on the 6x9s. the speaker wires for the highs will need to go to the leads going to the tweeter.
