Code 24. Vehicle speed sensor circuit.....

That was the only code.

I think the starter managed to die in all of this commotion...... Al is that spare one you gave me good? and does it fit on a 3.4?

my 89 had a bad connection and as soon as you went to turn it over, everything would go black and this one doesn't do that, not to mention when it died yesterday all gauges stayed lit and stuff......... I guess I could check but how would it just 'happen' like that

So thank god this car is a 5-speed. I realized yesterday "Oh, I can just pop start it!" So I did  Now it is at least safe in the parking lot here, for when/if I decide to fix it LOL

New vid shortly, still only giving me code 24. For some reason I thought the icm was easier to change on the 3.4 than the 2.8/3.1, but NOOOOOO. I have not done it yet. I don't want to spend $80 on it if I'm not absolutely sure thats the problem.

  • 2 weeks later...

Buck....if you can get that thing to run decent enough that it would make a 16-17 hour trip I'll still gladly take it off your hands.

I'm waiting on an icm/coil set in the mail. I'll let you know if it works.

You are first on the list though for buying it.

Please know the shape this car is in is not perfect. The red paint is in poor shape, black is good. HAs it's fair share of dents, ac doesn't work, radio works rarely, parking brake doesn't work, tires are dry rotting.

BUT I have been DDing it and it has proven very reliable and super fun to drive. I will throw in a bunch of parts if they are still in my previous landlords basement.

Between 3.1's and 3.4's? I doubt it, but I'm not sure..........

when it comes to w-bodies: the 91-93 3.4 PCM is the same PCM as used in a 93-94 LH0 4t60E car....

As soon as you say it I'll probably be like "DUH" but what is ESC?

And I checked it multiple times and I'm quite sure it's 24

Thx for the compatibility info
