Weighed the monte today

We got to use the scales today in my chassis fab class so I decided to weigh the monte. It came out to 3458lbs. Perfect 50-50 ratio from right to left but it has a 65-35 ratio from front to rear.

 

In comparison we weighed an 89 trans am that came out to 3350lbs and a late 90s early 2000s mustang gt that came out to 3292lb.

I just use the local grain elevator's scale at night when they're closed. They have the display facing out the window.

i weighed my regal a few years back. full tank of gas and car seat. it was 3755lbs with me in it.

I had a full tank of gas as well but I was not in it. I had the spare tire in as well.

only 3400? i would have expected mroe to be honest.... not too shabby.

Is your motor all iron? I am trying to figure what my z weighs now. They said the motor was lighter than the 3.4 DOHC that was in there.

i would bet a 3.4 weighs more that a 3100 just because 4x the cams, and the huge upper intake manifold.

I remember a while back when I went to the scrap yard and drove on the scales, IIRC is was around 3580lbs, but I also had 10 catalyic converters in the back plus my system(2 12s). This was in my DOHC monte too.
