I have decided to add some new rims to my "list" for this year, looking for a package to be had for maybe under a grand. I would be interested in either a 5 spoke somewhat similar to an eagle 077 but those have been beaten like a dead horse i want something different. another option would be a black rim w/machined lip. looking for 17's because i might lower the monte as well, but not this year. any ideas suggestions post pics whatever i need some ideas.

k thx

When i bought my Eagle 185's USED (No longer produced) and the 245/45R17 tires for them I spent about $900..I think you'll have a hard time doing a nice wheel/tire package in 17's for under a grand. So far my General Exclaim UHP's seem to be good tires.

I LOVE the way my car handles with those big tires on it though. And in reality, sometimes it actually rides better...sometimes worse than with my 16's.

How about some newer (04+) style GTP/GT(2) style rims, 17"

You'd just have to do something about the center cap...

Probably find some on ClubGP or something...

Yeah, I'm just thinking some "slightly used" factory rims (with almost new Goodyear or whatever from the factory) would be cheaper than aftermarket....

And they look cool ;)

5x114.3 will fit with no problems, but itll be snug.

is there any increased risk of damaging the wheel due to the stress when they are that snug or does it help the problem, or is that something i dont have to worry about?

it doesn't fail on this board........someone will always mention some lame ass stock wheels!!! fork up and go big or don't do it!!

thats my opinion!

:skep:

Get the SS diamond cuts and paint the centercap with the red in in it white

They're the ONLY stock FWD rim I like.
