C-REX Posted May 4, 2004 Report Share Posted May 4, 2004 My car was running the shits and i went to canadian tire for a tune up so they put in new fuel filter, spark plug/ wires, o2 sensor, pci something or other, throttle body gasket. bryanjoseph Posted May 8, 2004 Report Share Posted May 8, 2004 I bet they did a poor job of putting on the throttle body gasket, or reused the old one and charged you for a new one! Canadian tire swindled me out of 30 bucks. Went in to get a starting problem checked out. They suggested an "AVR" test, but did not put down any notes describing the problem for the mechanic. It turns out that in an "AVR" test, they do not even test for starting problems! Too bad I signed the work order. I've heard several other stories of Canadian Tire incompetency and crookedness including doing unauthorized work and other mechanical problems appearing "mysteriously" like your problem.
