starting a car with no starter.

if you can get it to go 35 mph you can pop start it ....... 3.1 luminas never came with a 5 speed..... just put it in neutral and get it up to speed and slam it in 1st....... it will spin the motor enough to start. if the car has AC its a lil harder to swap the starter bc the AC lines run in the way.

 

Short of having someone else push your car with theirs, how the hell are you going to get your car to go 35 miles per hour by yourself? And isn't that supposed to damage an automatic transmission??

Do you speak from experience?

I was under the impression that an automatic won't build up hydraulic pressure by when the output shaft is rotated so the bands and clutches wouldn't apply. As a result, every gear would be like neutral.
