91Z34 Posted November 26, 2002 Report Share Posted November 26, 2002 After over 2 months of headaches thinking JCWhitney sent me the wrong spring cause they didn't match the pictures of others. I exchanged them once with JCWhitney and exchanged them again with ST direct and keep getting the same ones. I just found out that the ST 89123 (Front Lowering Kit for W-body[also know as SKU #81ZX0113T from JCWhitney]) was redesigned do to not enough travel causing it to bottom out. They added what they called a dead coil. The spring weight off wheels is now approx 15" instead of 11.75", but will still have the same ride height.
