I HAVE A 3.1 BLOCK BORED OUT TO 3.52 + 2.8 HEADS MILLED TO 0.05 I THINK THE CC=ABOUT 23 OR SO + THE SMALLEST DISH PISTION I COULD BUY + A HEAD GASKET OF 0.63 = C\RATIO OF HOW MUCH ?

IF I GET A COMPRESSION TESTER IS THIS TRUE ?

199 PSI =9.4:1 OR SO WHICH = 89 OR HIGHER OCTANE

220 PSI = 11.5:1 OR SO WHICH = 93 OR HIGHER OCTANE

I GET A DEAD MISS AT HIGH SPEED IN 3 OR HIGHER. BUT WHEN COLD IT RUNS GREAT UNDER 30 F .

IF THE RATIO IS TO HIGH THE ENGINE WOULD JUST NOT RUN AT ALL CORRECT?

THANKS JEFF

a compression reading will not tell u your compression ratio, the compression u develop is more of a characteristic of your camshaft profile. is that miss at WOT. what octane gas are u using?

3/4 TH IN GEAR 1 TO 2 ND IS GOOD 2 TO 3 RD IS GOOD BUT 3 & BEYOND IS THE PROBLEM. SAY I DRIVING AT 70 MPH THE RPMS ARE AT 3200 OR HIGHER THEN I LET OFF THE GAS AND THE MISS GOES AWAY. AT PART TH. IS FINE & THEN FLOOR IT AND IT MISSES UP TO 4000 AND THEN RUNS FINE  IM STUMPED

I GOT 40 PSI OF FUEL

18 IN OF VAC AT IDLE

ENGINE LIGHT IS OFF

EGR SEAMS TO BE WORKING FINE

I WAS USING 93 BUT I JUST PUT IN 91 TODAY 1.99 A GAL

AT IDLE IT SHAKES A LITTLE BIT BUT NO PING ON KNOCKING NOISE.

HOW ABOUT PLUG'S STOCK 3.1 IM RUNNING SHOULD I GO TO COLDER

PLUG OR SHORTEN THE GAP ? THE CAM IS A MELLING I THINK IT UP AROUND 224 IN 238 EX NOT SURE I DONT HAVE THE SHEET WIFE GOT CURIOUS AND THREW ALOT OF STUFF OUT

THANKS JEFF
