96+ 3100 lower intake fit with a 95 upper intake & 95 he

I am searching for parts for my 3100 topend swap that I want to do to my STE, and I found a lower intake manifold for a 96+ 3100. I know the intakes were changed for the 96 and newer, so was the difference significant enough that the different intake manifolds won't work together. And, if they do work together would it make as much power as if I got both of them '94 or '95 intakes. And also, will the intake manifold work with the heads??? I know the heads were changed for 96+ (or at least thats what I was told), so will it work with those?
