Your choice for a RSTB?

  1. 1. Your choice for a RSTB?

Now that my fight to find and buy a roof rack is over, I can get back to other areas of the car. The chassis is the one area I haven't touched yet, and I want to start off light. I know that a RSTB is a very beneficial add-on for these cars, so I'm thinking it'll be first. A quick question though (Yes, I have used the search function), which is better; AWeb's, or Held's (Aweb, I presume your bars will fit GP sedans as well as the coupes)? What are everyone's opinions on them? At this point I'm leaning towards AWeb's.

i think the rear STB is a very good place to start. and I don;t think it takes much to do the job. I'd get whichever is cheaper.

I'm not terribly concerned about price, to be honest. If one's a substantial amount more than the other I may turn away from it, but I'm more concerned about which performs better, if there's a noteworthy difference.

I meant that from a performance standpoint, actually.... LOL

which is to say either is strong enough to do the job.

i would go with Awebs because its far cheaper, he will respond quickly to you, and you'll receive it 10 times faster!

BTW i believe he just makes the brackets now, and you have to source your own tubing. Which is easy.

Last time I tried e-mailing Held I got a reply very quick.

When I ordered my suspension my order was delivered very quick

but at the same time, since then Held has changed hands (near as I can tell) Lee is no longer doing any of the business, now its some Eric guy and, from what I have been told, his communication SUCKS.

Last I checked he was only making the brackets, but he will tell you exactly what you need to get to make the bar to go between them, and really, its soooo simple.

My vote is Aweb

best bang for the buck

I'm seeing a trend here.

But one person voted for 'other'. Apparently they know something we don't.

Keep in mind I voted for Adam's RSTB even though I don't have the one he usually makes people since they don't fit on 1st gen w-body regal coupes.

He did make me this one though, and its friggin awesome!!!

Oh dear. Now it's two people.

AWEB hands down

x2 I currently have 2 of his products (RSTB brackets and the door sills) and both are of the highest quality. Now if only he would start making the engine braces again................

Now there are 4 votes for "other"

someone needs to speak up and tell us what this secret "other" is, I do not know of one
