Hi all

Throughout my TGP build I found something interesting. I changed the front dogbones bushings to urathane, but the engine still pivoted. I had the alternator actually touching my strut tower brace. So I removed the driver side engine mount and replaced it with two 3" solid stainless steel tubes with tapped holes to keep the mounts in place. The engine does not move anymore and there is quite a bit of power increase. I can actually feel it so it should be more than 10 HP. The torque is amazing now. There is little to no vibration perhaps my engine is balanced properly.

Enjoy

10 hp from stainless steel?

There is no more hp than there was before. Instead of the engine rolling when you step on the gas, now the motor stays still and it all goes to your wheels.

oh dear lord. those are some nice asses. i cant wait till im in college. i think the one on the far left has the best one, then the one on the far right, then the one in the middle-left, and then the one in the middle-right, middle right is too big for my liking... almost fake! just plain odd looking

You are right. The engine is not developing more power it's just not wasted on swinging a heavy block. That way the engine power transferred more directly to the wheel. So before I had power that I could not use but after I gained power. All in all it's a power increase.

My motor mounts are solid mounted no bushings.
