93GTP Posted July 9, 2005 Report Share Posted July 9, 2005 As the subject says, I'm looking for factory 6.5" door speaker mounts for my '93 GP. I believe my stockers are 5.25's but I'm not sure yet. I have been told that 6.5's were optional with the premium audio package. Can anyone confirm this for me? I want to get a set of those mounts and put a set of 6.5 components up front. terryk2003 Posted July 10, 2005 Report Share Posted July 10, 2005 i don't think there was an option for 6.5's...i believe the only thing the premium sound package got you were tweeters along with the 5.25's...you CAN however make your own custom mounts as a few of us on the board have done to accomodate some 6.5's... [end hijack} yes, they will...the stock grilles are 6.5...the speakers arent centered in the grille...and, the speaker won't fit perfectly behind the grille when you're done...but, it will still fit behind the door panel and the grille...
