BIGBULS Posted May 3, 2004 Report Share Posted May 3, 2004 Both were used.............the 284 having (arguably) the best gearset, but I'm pretty sure the 3.1's 282 will bolt up too. Be aware though, that there are 2 different V6 gearsets for the 282............the J and L body V6's got one set, and the rare W-Bodies got another (which is the better of the two where the DOHC is concerned).
