Guest Posted November 29, 2002 Report Share Posted November 29, 2002 :? Need Help PPPPPPLLLLLLEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEE.... I have a 3.1 V6 Olds which runs really well until it gets hot and then cuts out. Starts again ok and runs at 1000-1500 rpm but when you put the power down it cuts out again. It does this three or four times then cuts out completely and won't start until it cools down. First started having trouble a few weeks ago when it was coughing and spluttering at 3500-4000 rpm. It would cut out then but re-start when you took your foot of the 'gas'.
