I'm trying to take out the drivers side half shaft on my 92 Lumina. I've got a hub puller, and i've got the hub seperated from the control arm. How do I get the half shaft out of the transmission?

I agree.......you just have to pull on it really hard.....it took me, my dad, and my mechanic friend about 2 minutes with all three of us yanking on it...

noo not good the cv joint will come right out of the socket

best way is like mention before

the way to do it is get the pry bar between the case and axle and pry it out that way

be glad that you didn't seperate the cv joint and rip the boot

good luck

I got a crow bar and put the straight side up behind one of the 3 buldges in the thing, then jammed the crow bar between the sway bar and subframe to use as fulcrum. One swift kick on the crow bar and the thing will pop out.
