again on my new car

93 GP LE 3.1

regardless of how much fuel is in the tank the low fuel light comes and goes.

same for the temp light. has a temp gauge as well.

think this could be related to the code 23 and 43 i pulled today?

thanx in advance

temp light? you mean check gauges?

but here this should help with the gas light...it's a common problem

thanx for the low fuel light fix.

that should be easy enough.

just gotta take the time.

yesterday i tore part of the dash apart to put cd player in now i can tear more of the dash apart.

as for the temp light

here is a pic of my dash

i forget if it is above to the right or above to the left of the temp gauge there is a light that comes and goes

ahh...ok you have a different cluster then me...i'd say if your temp gauge is reading right it's due to the bad soldering too...see if it goes away when you fix the gas light

uh... i may be wrong, but as far as i know its BAD for the temp gauge to be in the red like that in the picture. you may have bigger probs.

car was off when i snapped the pics.

i have noticed the temp gauge vary from 190 or so up to about 210-220. then back down.

i have several t-stats laying around from my cutlass that i plan on throwing in.

You need to just get over to a junkyard and grab yourself a full gauge cluster with a tach and everything. I wouldn't even waste my time on the boring standard gauges. It's time to upgrade!! :D

i like the upgrade word.

just a couple things.

not planning on keeping car for along time so mayb upgrade is not the best thing.

then on the other hand

will it plug right in and be fully functional?

I had the same problem has you, my low fuel did not want to come on and my coolant light was always on, I tried resoldering but since the circuit is different from the full gages cluster I wasn't successful. So I just bought a brand new cluster swapped the odometer and soldered the IC chip so the check gauges and fuel light would work normally.
