89BuickRegalGS Posted November 12, 2002 Report Share Posted November 12, 2002 My coolant light is coming on (on the dash) when I start the car, stayiong on longer than ussual, then after i reach (i assume so anyways) a running tempurature, it shuts off... any ideas? NORBI Posted November 13, 2002 Report Share Posted November 13, 2002 I have a same problem in my 88 CS and it goes away when it reaches normal temperature, i added more cooland and even flushed a radiator and puta new fluid and its still doing the same. RedZMonte Posted November 13, 2002 Report Share Posted November 13, 2002 that is exactly what my monte is doing. it comes on then goes off then comes on and goes off a few minutes later. its the coolent temp sensor i was told. my coolent is full so i am just going to say *F* it for now and fix it when i have things tore apart for the turbo.
