Installed my front strut tower brace

First I had to grind down a stud that was in my way... I put duct tape down to protect the paint.

Then I traced the holes of the brace to figure out where to drill my holes

Made some starter holes so the drill bit wouldnt slip all over

Holes Made 5/16th is the bit I used

Cant really see it but we siliconed the studs to prevent rust

With this forum, I think it would be an apt project thread

Setting it in my engine bay saying this is what it would look like if i actually installed it would deserve its own thread it seems

Yep, found it. Two brand new bars for $22 bucks.

 

Go to GMPD.com, search part number 12498648. That is for two.

 

Part number for one is actualy MORE, believe it or not, $26, 12456148

Damn, I paid like 40 shipped from a forum member

 

Yeah I paid $32 for the two pack from the dealership and the single was $38. I don't understand it, but its true.
