mfewtrail Posted February 7, 2010 Report Share Posted February 7, 2010 I was going through some of my old file backups from '03-06ish and found a lot of interesting w-bodies, pictures of old members cars or previous cars, and various other stuff. Some of you probably remember a lot of this and some of you might not have seen a lot of it. The majority of this stuff is probably Grand Prix related, but there are various other W's here and there. Since I have a lot of pictures I plan on posting, I'm going to post them here as clickable thumbnails. Click for fullsized images! If you want to quote/discuss a particular picture, please crop down the quote to include that particular picture instead of quoting/basically reposting all the images again. I'll be continually adding to this as I'm slowly organizing everything before uploading it. Some of it will still sorta "randomly" be posted... 92GP's(?) grand prix. Shawn(GnatGoSplat's) W's Zach's(Heza) '96 GTP with custom paint(stock bright white, but with Lazuli blue pearl mixed in I believe) Luke(LukeZ34's) old black TGP(and his old red one visible in one picture) that was sold to slick, then digitaloutsider. Also a few pictures of Luke's old Cutlass 'Vert. "Pimped" out Regal that was on ebay(I think) years ago. Ryan(rdubya) and cobracmdr's former low mileage lowered TGP. "ss_black's" L67 swapped Lumina with lots of other stuff done(more pics of it should still be on cardomain) 1uvakinda's old Cutlass. Davis'(invasion1) 5spd/TGP swapped Cutlass - I think bake82 has it now? Can't remember this guys username...but he has a nice Lumina. One before picture, and a few after it was painted. Race cars that looks similar to w's or are based on them, etc. V8 Monte everyone has seen: This "ex-NASCAR" Cutlass Supreme was originally used by Fueling Engineering to set land speed records on the salt flats. It had a highly modded/turbocharged quad 4 coupled to a getrag 282 in it back then. A lot of stuff was changed on it before "RaceLegal" picked it up for their street legal drags program. It now has a stock quad 4 in it with a small shot of nitrous now and runs low 9's in the 1/8th mile(probably about mid 14's if it ran a 1/4 mile). Dressed up 3800's(S2 and S3) from autoshows: Ross' old Petty GP in some newspaper article. More to come later! I wonder how quickly this will eat up the free allotted bandwidth at photobucket. This car was 90TGP's for a long time(I think he had it in '02 when I joined up and maybe earlier than that), then sold to Pat(patgizz), Bob(Bob's Yer Uncle!), back to Pat(?) and then to 3.1cutlass. First picture is a really old one 90TGP posted, then a few others from later years. Greg's(No1kicker) old TSTE(Tony aka GutlassSupreme now has it) and I can't quite remember who the other TGP's belonged to. I think one was Lorenzo's and maybe the other was the one Tony used to have(???). 5 TGP's in 1 photo, 4 in another - images from Jeff M. and Jim W's turbograndprix.com website The next TGP has been through a lot of members. It was originally Waskie's(Bryan) car...the guy that started was has now become the TGPForums. Kenny(TGPilot) bought it from Bryan, 5spd swapped it & made a custom chip for it. Luke(LukeZ34) bought it from Kenny, then it went back to Kenny again and he did some more custom chip tuning to it. After that it went to a few "new" members on the board that rarely posted. Someone ended up wrecking it & putting it up for sale on craigslist in '08 or maybe a bit later. The first picture is when Waskie owned it, the rest of the pictures were taken by Luke I believe. Random TSTE that was for sale sometime in '04 or '05 and in nice shape! Some 5 or so year old pictures of what I believe is Nick's TGP(Addicted To Boost). Tony's(GutlassSupreme) TGP and Cutlass...I think. NitroDave's old black TGP w/ nascar style spoiler alongside Jud's(sleeperred90tgp - RIP) red TGP. "TurboGTU" now owns the black TGP. Joe's aka "Turby" old gray cloth interior TGP(and other w's) before & after it was wrecked. Maroon TSTE that looks a little rough. Can't remember who's TGP this was, but it has some custom stuff going on under the hood. Picture is from '04ish. One of The Burning Rom's(Jason) TGP's...pretty sure he had two. Old TGP picture, not sure who's car this was...might have came from Chris A.'s old site or elsewhere. Can't remember who's car this was either, but it was for sale in '02 or '03. I'm thinking it was Sal's car...just did some searching on the TGP board and I think I'm right. "olds1992" was his username. Notice the new 91-93 style coolant bottle? I think he was probably the first to swap one of those into a TGP and ditch the original coolant overflow under the turbo. Random TGP that was for sale in NH years ago. I think John(john99gtp) took this picture. Shawn's(dbtk2) old maroon TSTE. TGP with Fiero wing, and some mods(ported heads, custom chip, etc....the site this car was on was reposted somewhere here recently) Overseas TGP(Finland I think?) I found years ago on some random google searches. Nice '89 TGP(black outlines around the lights are a giveaway that it's an '89...or a '90 someone made to look like an '89). Owner is/was a member here, don't recall who it is. I think this TGP was Dane's(dkorinko). It had a cam, head work, a supra intercooler front mounted, and some other stuff. Someone ran a "corrected" 13 second 1/4 mile time with that car years ago. The block on it cracked and Dane sold it to someone else... Pepto-Bismol TGP - looks really odd w/o the valance in this picture...lol! Black TGP w/ rare gray interior, got this off of Jeff M's site back when it was first posted there in '05. Nice looking red TGP w/ a spoiler, no clue who's car it is... A former members car...can't remember his username. i think this one had a ton of miles on it? Plum Crazy painted TGP that a former member owned. I'm sure most of you have seen this one. Random wrecked TGP w/ a plain white hood. One of someones not-so-good looking timing belt(LOL!) and another that shows a good accessory side-view of the engine outside of a car. A few old w-body meet pictures(from you guys up NORTH...probably 5 years old now?) and a few from random 1st gen clubgp meet threads that I saved pictures from. Lot of members old W's in these...there's one w' in there(Gabe's) with a 94-96 B4U front bumper on a car with 91-93 B4U...kinda hard to tell in the small picture and the custom paint(blue/black) helps hide it a bit as well. Cutlass' "Phantom" Cutlass'...the white one used to be PhantomFE3's here, the other was some random one that was up for sale. Jeremy's old Cutlass(???) Malachite Metallic(maybe "light" malachite?) Cutlass - can't remember the member that owned it. Can't recall who this Cutlass belonged to either...the late model GP exhaust tips are probably a good clue though. I think this was picture was from a W' meet. Brian P...isn't this your old Cutlass? The info with the picture shows it was modified in 2003, so I've had it since at least back then. Cutlass with a Razzi or some other aftermarket kit. Random old 'Vert picture. Don't remember who owned this one either... Shaun's(digitaloutsider) 5spd/3.4 Cutlass...I think. Pretty sure he was the only one to polish up those wheels like that? Back to Grand Prix's now. Old picture of Adam's(aweb80) GP w/ 077's on it. Three old pics of GP4U2NV's GP with custom paint(and other stuff). Some may recognize it from the streetglow catalogs. brianteel's 3800 swapped and 5spd(I think) GP - someone else here owns it now AFAIK, can't think of his username though. Also a underhood shot of a Cutlass sedan brianteel L67 swapped. Two "Cayene Red" Grand Prix's. "chaosdragon's" GP. These pictures are from '02 or '03. I believe he had an actual WS6 hood chopped up and molded into the stock GP hood. Dan's GTP(sl3196) and Josh's(TwinTurboSedan - RIP) old 5spd swapped + turbo 3.1 setup swapped Cutlass sedan. THe_DeTAiL3R's(Dave) old Grand Prix with polished + blaced out xlaces. Ross'(grandprixnyc) old Richard Petty editon Grand Prix. An old picture of Brian's(BrianG) custom GP tails.. Nice 94-96 GP owned by a guy named Steve on ClubGP. GP model car. Jon89LE's car - repainted and w/ other mods. Somebody's STE with an interesting two-tone exterior. Nice looking GP SE that was on ebay sometime in 2005. I think the interior shot is from the same car. I forget which member had this GP sedan w/ xlaces. Someone's old/wrecked TSTE. Old picture of a nice looking 1st gen GTP STE w/ blacked out xlaces. I can't think of what member owns it at the moment...picture if from 2004ish. 2nd Gen GP cutaway/see-through type picture. Nice low mileage(picture tagged with 49K) 1st Gen GTP that someone on ClubGP(I think) owned. The person that had this car had another nice 1st gen from what I remember. Don't remember where I saved this from. Nice looking gray cloth interior. More Turbo GP's More pictures of Jud's TGP(sleeperred90tgp - RIP) Close-up of someone's TGP a-pillar gauge pod. tyroelite's TGP with rear coilovers slammed to the ground. Reflection of a TGP on a big rig w/ polished tanker. Luke's old car maybe? Pictures a member here snapped of a random TGP he found w/ crosslaces painted green in the rear(what the hell?). TGP appears to have rare gray interior too! Pics are from 2005. Forget who's car this was... Snow covered TGP. Scott G's old TGP(he's on clubgp) that was in really nice shape. Rick Y's old low mileage TGP. The original owner signed up here or at the TGPForums posting it for sell years ago. It only had something like 29K on it when Rick picked it up. I gotta find this one again so that I can have all the TGP's that Rick has owned..lol. I own two of the three that he used to have so far! Someone's nice looking TSTE, don't remember who. I can't remember who owned this TGP either... Intercooled/turbo mod for the TGP cluster so that this portion of it lights up. TGP and other W's...don't remember who they belong to. Looks like the TGP had black xlaces. Picture is from 03-04ish or earlier... Not quite done yet...still have a good 100 or so pictures to post. All of these pictures are a very small portion of what I have total. I may go through some more stuff after I finish up this set and post more later on...I'm randomly selecting images...otherwise, I would have about 500,000+ images to post. I seen a few of my cars in those pictures, along with some members that are not around anymore. brianteels old car is (well was the last time I spoke with him) in Michigan, IIRC the Flint area. I forget his name, but I'm sure if I signed onto AIM, I could find it pretty quick. The Michigan meet was summer 2004. I have a ton of pictures of that meet somewhere, along with pizza sauce all over the rear window of my Z34. The blue, 4 door Z34 lumina is owned by Brad (4drz34 was on of his SN's IIRC). Last I heard, he was trying to sell it. He was a good guy, but the paint was ROUGH. Looked like it was brushed on. Any pictures of that 1st gen with a 2nd gen Regal swapped dash? I know he has a Cardomain account, but it's been so long since he's been on here, that I can't remember his SN. If interested, I have tons of pictures of older stuff as well, if you are interested. Tom's(animuL) old L67 swapped Lumina. This car was running 12 second 1/4 mile times back in 2002. Two pictures of BRAND NEW w-bodies someone here took. White car is labeled as a '93, Red = '95. Remote controlled Z34. Can't remember who's Z' this is with custom paint. Can't rememember who's camaro exhaust tipped Lumina this is either. Turby's old Cutlass that he bought with a huge rear WING on it. Can't remember this guys username. This guy used to have a website about the car and his L67 swap back around 2002-2003. Check out the rear end of this Grand Prix. I think the guy joined up and made a few posts about it. IIRC, he worked for a place that did custom air suspensions and other fabrication work. Spider man, spider man! Anybody remember the Gold Cutlass years ago that had this supercharged RWD 60*V6 engine in it? This GP reminds me of a transformer or something... Black/gold GP. Silver painted GP...I think the color might have been "titanium." White GP w/ roof/pillars blacked out. Former members Lumina w/ hydraulics. I think he sold it and had it listed on here not real long ago... 2nd Gen GP w/ custom work... Tangelo orange painted GP that was on ebay. Blue GP w/ aftermarket kit. Cutlass someone here used to own w/ customized tails. Gabe's old GP w/ custom paint. Someone's customized GP seat overlays(?) Random photos of old aftermarket body kit offerings for 1st Gen GPs. I did a little searching and it looks like it was "MotorCityMike" that owned that Lumina and the picture was probably from '02-03. EDIT: Found some 5 year old pictures of my Red TGP from when one of the previous owners put it up for sale on ebay. I think it was on ebay 2x back then from different owners.
