GnatGoSplat Posted October 21, 2002 Report Share Posted October 21, 2002 I have never been able to get replacement bulbs, but many places like Radio Shack and Parts Express sell bulbs with leads that you can put in the base. The ones I got from Parts Express aren't exactly the same size, but they work. Sometimes the brightness is just a wee bit off, but it's better than not coming on at all! So instead of ending up with a wide area illuminated, you'd end up with a finely focused spot. I think Nichia has some white LEDs with a wide beam pattern, but I don't know where to get that particular LED (they're rectangular in shape).
