Drummer
i found a lock cover from a 85 i think GP, and it was in pretty decent shape, and i've always liked lock covers, and well i snatched it and temporarely put it on mine. I pretty much like it except for the fact that it sticks out a little more that i would like but looking at it head on looks pretty good. Now the question is What are your opinions, what do you think about it? and before the cover
Night Fury
I doubt many people will like it too much... All that matters is that you like it... That being said, I DO like it!
arod0079
Something different. I like it on there.

Drummer
Thanks for the comments so far, if i could make it thinner i think it would look awsome, just gotta figure out how. did you remove your plate to take pics? on topic Looks better than I thought it would. nope. I put it away for the winter
Cully77
Is it hinged? or how does it move out of the way for the key?
Night Fury
If I'm not mistaken, it swivels out of the way.
Drummer
If I'm not mistaken, it swivels out of the way. correct, there is a pivot point at the top which there is also a spring. When you push to the left it swivels up. There's also a lever that releases it when the key hits it.
Euro
Is it just held on with adhesive or did you drill into the trunk?

Drummer
Is it just held on with adhesive or did you drill into the trunk? just some wall putty right now
spiderw31
Not feelin' it 'cause it's octagonal. Maybe if it were round like the later 6000s.
Night Fury
Not feelin' it 'cause it's octagonal. Maybe if it were round like the later 6000s. Wha?
pose_Z34
87-91 Bonneville style would work very well. Round with the arrowhead, and you could paint it body color to trick it out. The LeSabre T-types had those and it looked really good.
mra32
yeah the octagon is definitely the main thing killing it for me. I'd also be worried about scratching your paint with that, but I dont even know what it looks like
spiderw31
Wha? I'm not sure what year they started putting it on the 6000s, but my '89 had one like the pic below, only it was all black on the face IIRC.
xtremerevolution
I think that one sticks out way too much and ruins the lines of the trunk lid. If you're going to modify your trunk lock, you have to do it right. No trunk lock!!!
spiderw31
Or you could do something like my GTO had. I'm thinking about doing something like this on mine possibly. Like xtreme said, no lock at all, just an arrowhead instead. Sorry 'bout the crappy cell phone pic
Venom
Meh I dont like it, Id go with the last couple ppl here and just shave the lock all together.
CSI_MuNkY
That looks ridiculous.... just my opinion.... I agree with everyone else, the shape is what kills it! Jamie
jake91
i like it but i agree it would be better if it was round

rockfangd
i like it but hate the shape. It does not work well with the contour of the car
Addicted To Boost
It would look a lot better if it were round and didn't stick out so much.
