Well...it's not a bad place to start. Do you have anything to start with or do you really need everything?

Mezz: I need another set for back u (and also broke one bulb on installation). You still have another 2 switches/4 bulbs available? Will post payment on Ebay (give me place to send, again) when I get your reply. And once again, thanks for your efforts! Aron:thumbsup:

I know it's been a while but are there any switches left? Or doess anyon e know where I can get a pair?

Thanks.

I got the switches and bulbs today. I installed them and it worked like a charm. That is very cool. I've known others that have spent a lot of money replacing the complete assembly only to have the switches burn out again.

Thanks, again. This was a great deal.

I successfully lobbied the original manufacturer of dome light switches to re-manufacture some switches for me. I ordered a couple of hundred and they just showed up today. $8 a pair plus shipping ($2.50).

It's probably just my cars they broke on, right? :)

I'll post a picture tomorrow night.

7/28/11 update - Acting on a tip from another W-bodier I picked up some LED bulbs that fit right into the original housing. These eliminate the heat buildup that causes the switches to go bad. I can provide a set of 4 for $12.

I would like a set of switches and bulbs if still available. Thanks

Hey 1994RedVert, I've still got 'em! PM sent...

Do these go bad often? The only ones who uses the light switches are our kids when reading on long trips at night.

The original bulbs burn very hot which causes heat to build up and eventually the plastic in the switches fuses together. Someone on the forum tipped me off to the LED conversion bulbs which don't generate nearly as much heat. If your switches still work and you haven't done it already I'd suggest getting a set of LED bulbs.

Hey. I need to buy 4 more bulbs if you still have them. PM me with the price and I'll drop you some money.

Thanks.

I did the map lights as well. The tangs that hold the light need to be squeezed together as the LEDs are smaller in dia. Works great.
