no, it's got the 3 seperate cylinders/prongs. The alternator should have a rectangularish plug?

 

that looks like your map sensor plug :think:

 

It is 3 wire but I didnt know DOHC had the MAP sensor down there?

 

well no not down there, obviously it would be misplaced. But I would think you'd notice if your map sensor wasn't plugged in lol.

its two wires, purple and yellow. Alternator is plugged in, and this has been unplugged as far as I know since last spring when I had the engine done, or at least last fall when I had the rack replaced. I don't know of anything unusual going on :dunno:

2 wires purple and yellow. I'm pretty sure it is either the crank sensor or the speed sensor. If you had the ICM moved it is most likely the crank sensor. One has a twist and the other does not. Pretty sure the crank sensor has the twist. When I swapped my engine, they both had the same color and wire harness and only differed in the twist. I couldn't get the car running and the reason was because I had mixed the 2 up.

well I did have the coils relocated, but a) why would there still be a plug end, and B) why is it on the back side? :thinking: I had a problem the first day I got it back from the swap, and the speed sensor was unplugged, not allowing the trans to shift out of first (since the speed sensor was registering 0) so I don't think it's that, and if it was the crank sensor, it wouldnt run at all

canister purge solenoid?

 

is that the film canister type looking thing in the pic? if so, that's what I thought, but theres already a plug in it (blocked in the pic)

not sure where you see that, but it's just a solenoid with two hoses attached to it. One hose comes from a steel line that runs to the back of the car, and the other hose goes to near the TB somewhere.
