TPG Greg
ok i'm wanting to put a 91 HUD in my 89 TGP. i searched for any thing on this couldn't find any thing. soo, dose any one have any step by step instuctions. or any wiring or mounting info i got a 91 HUD because mine craped out and i saw that the swap going to the newer one can be done. plus i like it better because its less bulky. Q-Ball
It will probably work, but just not the same colour. Its really easy to swap out the HUD. Just take the dash top off and take off the 2 bolts holding the hud in place and unplug the wires.

Garrett Powered
yea, but then you need the slider switch, which its probably all you need to get it to work. so you still should probably replace that.
no1kicker
The 89 and 91 mount a little different. The connector is also different but it uses the same wires. If you can, grab the dashpad too as they're also not the same.
TPG Greg
i got it all wired up and working but i still need the dash pad. i tried to cut one with no hole and it was just flaking apart. OR i'd be willing to trade for a working 88-90 for my 91-93 i have the slider switch that go's with it.

TPG Greg
I have a 89-90 dashpad and HUD in tan also, but no 91-93 dashpad. i got the 91 hud working in my car but i need the dash pad for it. i'm going to search around a bit longer (because i like the 91 better because it's more slim) but if i have no luck i'll hit you up on this. whats the $$ on it
