MikeP2389 Posted May 25, 2007 Report Share Posted May 25, 2007 Im gettin a tuneup for my car soon, and my tranny fluid is not perfectly pink its more of like darkish pink almost red. doesnt smell burnt either. The car has 95,000mi on it and i dont know when or if it was ever touched before because i bought the car back in august with 87,000mi. I dont really wanna get it flushed because of it being higher milage and would rather just have my mechanic change the fluid or drop the pan too. The car still shifts nicely. The car is a 1995 monte carlo ls with the 4t60-e tranny. so do you guys just suggest changing the fluid and/or dropping the pan also? thanks, mike Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
19Cutlass94 Posted May 25, 2007 Report Share Posted May 25, 2007 If your going to do deal with fluid in the tranny, just drop the fan, and put in a new filter.
