It seems to be coming more from the driver side wheelwell (bellhousing) so I'm guessing trans. If you stick your head near the wheel, it almost sounds like a buzzing. It's been doing this for the entire time I've owned the car - 2.5 years. It makes this sound on a cold start anytime the outside temps are below 60*. Once the car has warmed up for a few minutes, the sound goes away. I sometimes hear it again around 2,000rpms when I'm accelerating. Trans pump? TC? I'm just trying to figure out the damage.
