BCM
I got bored and decided to paint my door handle trim and my engine cover. Before: After removing the cover: All Done: Put Back In: \/here you can see where I messed up a little
slick
The cover looks good. But, I think a flat black would have looked better for the door trim.

99RegalGS
How is the paint sticking to the plastic? What did you do for prep? I've been wanting to paint the 5 woodgrain pieces inside my Regal for awile now and I might do it soon.

BCM
How is the paint sticking to the plastic? What did you do for prep? I've been wanting to paint the 5 woodgrain pieces inside my Regal for awile now and I might do it soon. After I took the pieces out I just wiped them off with my shirt, then i sprayed a coat of Bulldog Adhesion Promoter, then after that dried, I sprayed 2 coats of Krylon Fusion Gloss Black paint. I used the same steps several months ago when I painted my center console, my radio/climate control trim, hazard/cruise button trim, and the side air vents and they still look exactly the same as when I painted them, no peeling or anything. ------- Took some better pics of the cover. Euro
Chris, Satin isthe way to go.. Is satin shiny? its kind of a mix between gloss and flat. its not like clear coat shiny, however its not primer'd looking flat. now all you have to do is clean the rest of that engine bay to match the cover!!!!!
