Radiator woes

I throught I was being all smart when I grabbed a radiator out of a 95 Grand Prix to use in my car with the 3x00, since that's what it came with and the outlets and diameters would match up, but today I just went to put it in and it is WIDER by at least two inches (like 28.5 vs 30+) and doesn't even fit where the old one went! :willynilly: Why does a radiator out of a GEN I not fit in a GEN I car!!! What rad is the right width AND has the smaller diameter inlet and outlets?

IDK, is your 3100 vin M? Check the 8th digit. The vin M radiatior seems to be the larger from what I've noticed. New replacements seems to cover both somehow.

My rad is from a 95 VIN M car, my car is an 89 VIN W, and my engine is actually a LA1 from a 01 Impala....

I guess I am down to trying to figure out what years/engines had the correct cooant outlet diameters and directions.
