I want some good stuff but i don't want to buy anything unnecessary. Prices are listed from napa site, still waiting on prices i could get them for. First off, Parts for the 96+ front knuckle hub assembly ----- New Ball Joints MRC 104163 $19.49 (these the cheapos??) NCP 2601331 $56.49 ------- Strut bearings NCP 2613137 $42.49 or strut bearing plate w/bearing $66.99 NCP 2613447 they list strut bearing plate insulator w/ bearing for: standard suspension NCP 2613230 $63.99 heavy duty suspension NCP 2613231 $59.99 whats the diff for, and which should i go with standard or heavy duty? ---------- Brakes - Front ROTORS 11.25" TS4886454 $22.49 (cheapos??) UP86549 $78.99 (noise dampening iron???) UP PR 86549L $119.00 (slotted rotors :shock: ) UP PR 86549R $119.00 PADS I am using Ceramix pads on the 89 & 97 regal and they last a long time!!! UP CMX 7265 $77.99 Rears CALIPERS (most likely gonna get junked ones) Anyone know the difference in quality between these. slick Posted December 21, 2005 Report Share Posted December 21, 2005 The cheapo pads and rotors suck. I used them the last time I did my front brakes(was short on cash), and it's only been 5-6 months, and I have noticed significant wear. "Noise dampening iron" is probably kinda like the anti-squeal that you would put on the back of your pads before placing them on the rotors so they don't squeal when you brake. Heavy duty is probably for extreme conditons, like heavy stop and go traffic, or autocrossing. Something that requires using your brakes harder often. (this is refering to the rotors, not pads) What metals are rotors made out of? maybe the center part is iron?? Heavy duty or standard, why the difference? As for the suspension stuff, the heavy duty stuff should actually be made of better material and last longer. They will suffer less from wear and tear.
