silver_92_z34 Posted February 5, 2003 Report Share Posted February 5, 2003 Hi guys I have a low idel prob. I have a 92 Z with an auto. underdrive pully, modded air box, rapid fire 8 plugs. The idels at 500rpm stoped in gear. The timming belt is like 60k old. Off idel the car is a frigin rocket. I run top engine cleaner and injector cleaner with now improvment. Robby1870 Posted February 5, 2003 Report Share Posted February 5, 2003 is the idle smooth at 500rpms?? Your IAC maybe worn out or the pintle on its valve maybe the wrong distance. Maybe your computer is telling it to idle that low. So, you may try disconnecting the battery, and reseting idle. It is sort of hard to diagnose.
