SpringTech Springs?

Is SpringTech Springs with 1.7 drop what everyone talks about ST springs? Has anyone installed them on a 95 era Lumina/Monte that I can see a picture of the drop? I am concerned that the drop will be very extreme and kill my ride comfort I have grown to enjoy. Also, would you recommend me changing the shocks and struts along with the springs? If so what brand/model do you guys recommend?

The "ST's" were Suspension Techniques, which have been discontinued for the 1st Generation W-Bodies.

Intrax would be the way to go for springs. Summit sells them for the 95-99 Lumina/Monte Carlo.

If you change the struts, KYB's are the way to go. TireRack has the best prices. Be sure you change the mounts and boots when you change the struts...

The Intrax are progressive (meaning they combine soft ride with stiff handling) and the ST's are not. JC Shitney sold them for $80 per axle, but they're discontinued...

I have a line on 4 ST Springs for $160 brand new in a box... yeah/nahh or still look for the Intrax?

I was looking those over , and I think I would avaoid them. I have never heard of that company, but I have heard of Intrax and ST....

If you have a first gen W wody , and are looking to drop the front, hop on board the second round group buy I am trying to organize for a set of Intrax springs...

I think the last group got a price in the $80 range which is exceptional... 8)

SpringTech is actually rather popular with the 97+ Grand Prix guys.

Is it a progressive rate spring?

I would still rather go with another group buy....

$160 to lower just the front (First gen) -vs- $80-$100 in a group buy with a reputable progressive rate spring....
