Abnormal Exhaust Question

I have a 95 Lumina LS with the 3.4 and dual exhaust. I need to put new mufflers and pipes on it soon. As you guys know the one-into-two tips they put on from the factory look like crap and the mufflers stick out so far that they are really noticeable. My question is does anyone know of an attractive chrome or stainless steel set of mufflers that arent loud but look good? I want it to look nice but be quiet. Any ideas?

Your local speed / muffler shop would give you a better idea from sounds tests... but I personally run some Flowmaster Turbo II's (stainless steel, pictures if needed) and they run just a tad louder, but the best part about them is that take out the 'tinks' that stock mufflers give to the exhaust note. I'm happy with them, and it hums very nice at cruisin' speeds. Hope this helps you out!

I don't have any sound clips, but like I said, it's just a couple of decibels louder to give it a well rounded tone. Nothing big, just 'cleared' up in a sense. PM me and type your e-mail address to so I can send those pictures of my install...

I recomend checking out magnaflow.com and finding a set. and also add a 18"-20" long glasspack in as a resonator. it will be quiet and deep. it will sound great.. the magnaflow's actually get quieter as the RPM's go up.

I recomend magnaflow over any other muffler.

Seems like the magnaflow and glasspack would make it louder. I need it to be quiet. This is my wifes car and she doesnt like loud pipes. She hated the flowmasters on my 92 5.0 Thunderbird. I just need something that wont rust up and will stay attractive.

The magnaflows will flow well and if you have a Large resonator/glasspack it will be pretty quiet. they get quieter as the rpm's go up. I Have done a few systems on a few other cars and the wifes of the owners have liked the sound. I use magnaflow on allot of cars.

Your not going to find a set of pollished quiet mufflers. If your looking quiet i would get a set of Dynomax superturbo's.

Do dynomax Super Turbos get louder than stock though? THats what I wanted on my CS. I dont want god-awful headache noise, but when I hit the gas, i want some noise
