boostnawd
How tough is this on a 92 DOHC? Is it just a matter of pulling out the coolant reservoir, taking the serpentine belt off and undoing the bolts? Or am I looking at more work. White93z34
when i changed it on a 3.1 it was a walk in the park, and since the 3.1 and 3.4 are quite similar i would imagine its just as you described.
boostnawd
I'm hoping it's that easy and not like the alternator procedure. Anyone else? Any special procedure for installing the new one? Teflon tape anywhere? Any hints/ suggestions welcome.
brian89gp
Loosen the 4 pulley bolts with the belt still on, remove the belt, remove the 4 bolts and pulley, then the 5 bolts on the pump itself. Scrape the old gasket and use a new one. If you don't want coolant everywhere then drain it.
