NTRCOOL Posted October 31, 2014 Report Share Posted October 31, 2014 Hey guys My friends '02 Grandprix gt has been having issues and she finally got time for me to look at it on my way home with it I noticed the odometer and the trip were not turning, all the other gauges seemed to me fine. RobertISaar Posted October 31, 2014 Report Share Posted October 31, 2014 odometer is driven off of the same signal as the speedometer. since that appears to be working correctly, i would say either the odometer drive itself is broken(i've seen the little gears crack before) or a dead stepper motor/driver(the odometer is a stepper motor, the only one on an 02 GP cluster, IIRC, the rest of the guages should be magnetic air-core designs).
