Galaxie500XL
Well, my 3-month old miniquad on the driver's side just died, for the 4th time in the last year. I'm not really interested in trying to convert them, just wonder of anyone knows of a GOOD replacement. The shops here only sell the Sylvania standard and Xtravision bulbs, and so far, I've replaced a total of 6 of them over the past two years, at $35.00 a pop. any suggestions? oldmangrimes
I've replaced three in the last two years, I also don't like spending so much money and time on them. I'm thinking that the next time I need to replace one I'll just cut out the bulb and replace it like I've read about on here. Sorry I don't have the thread link. My miniquads don't give out much light, but I used to own a 93 camaro with the miniquads that had tinted headlight covers so I'm used to driving in the dark. GOT2B GM
Silicone some 6000k hids in there. Cheap and works like a charm. Takes the miniquad light output from horrible to adequate. jman093
It sounds like your getting water in there if your bulbs are going out that frequently.

slick
He's got some other issue- Poor ground, poor connection, spikes, etc... There's no reason why they are frying out like that.
