cutlasssupremeking Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I have a 91 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. This car usually come with Power Windows. I don't think Oldmobile even makes manual regulators. BUT, my car has Manual Regulators. My uncle really didn't want the Power Windows, so the Dealership said, "Yes, Sir," and put manual hand crank regulators on it. Which is totally fine until I have to replace the driver side regulator because the gears are all stripped out and Oldsmobile doesn't even make the part that I need! I think I need to replace the regulator. I'm not really sure what that is, but I know that the swing arm thing is holding strong and the teeth on it are good(last time I checked). I just need to replace the thing that attaches to it. So, my question is: what is it called? Where do I get it? How do I replace it? Quote
swift13 Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 why not just switch to power? if not that then maybe a similar car at the yard will have the parts you need. pics would help. Quote
ManicMechanic Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I've seen LOTS of w bodies with manual windows. You'll probably have to end up replacing the entire regulator. GMpartsdirect does still carry the regulator. Quote
rockfangd Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 I have seen manual windows on most base mase model cutlasses, luminas, and regals Quote
oscar_wilde Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 Convert to power, which parts are more than abundant. Or find a Lumina or base Grand Prix. I drove a Lumina with manual windows. They were fast to. Quote
