I bashed at one with an 8 pound(?) sledge and only deflected it 1/2 inch... and this was on the 94 vert.... granted, it was bent cause the the car was wrecked. I think the hoop could take maybe 500+ pounds, but you would break the cover LONG before that. It is actually pretty strong but not strong enough to be a true Rollbar.
