stockgp Posted July 12, 2008 Report Share Posted July 12, 2008 just wondering if anyone has had luck with the replacement tops from ebay. also, are the tops the same from 1990-1995? how hard is it to replace the cables, and how important are they? i was putting the top down the other day, and i could see the frayed end of the driver's side cable hanging. the top still goes up and down, albeit slow as hell. that's the other issue. the top takes FOREVER to go up and down. and when i'm trying to get the top to lock when it's all the way up, it has trouble getting all the way into the cups. thanks in advance for any help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

GutlassSupreme Posted July 15, 2008 Report Share Posted July 15, 2008 my car also hs troubles when trying to lock it in. the biggest factor in that is the temperature. if the top is down the whole day, and when the temp drops the top shrinks a bit. which makes it harder. try do its when its hot and youll see the opposite. as far as it being slow mine does it occasionally but the tops are slow in general. as far as the wires go im not sure.
