runt
Anybody have any tips for cleaning the brake dust/road tar/grime from the back side of wheels? I have tried using just soap and spray shit but nothing much more than that. I'm rotating the tires this weekend, and I'm hoping I"ll have time to clean them up without having to bust out the high speed die grinder and a steel brush. I'm probably going to start with some sort of stiff brush and some Simple Green or something similar. I guess I'll see what happens.

Fleeingpepper
I use Simple Green, but only because it's what I have laying around. But it works well.
cutty
simple green or greased lightning, and a nylon brush. Exactly what i use, and when they are really bad and i have some time, i will use a little steam cleaner to get the heavy stuff off first.
