DEMonte1997
I just noticed this last weekend. When I turn the AC on, I can hear this odd whining/humming/ringing sound. The sound varies with engine rpm. Anyone have this happen to them? Any thoughts for a fix? I don't use the AC often but it does engage anytime I have the front defogger on so this will get annoying really quick.
stevegasm
It could be a clutch bearing on your AC compressor going out, if the sound varies with engine RPM, the compressor is the first thing i'd check.
THe_DeTAiL3R
I had the clutch on my compresser making horrible metal grinding noise.. took it to mechanic and he adjusted it for $
compu_85
On our GP, when the AC is on the long run of the serp belt will vibrate. If you touch it with your finger it goes quiet. -Jason
