chemicalbrother Posted March 14, 2006 Report Share Posted March 14, 2006 does anybody know the max speaker depth- top or bottom mount- for 95-01 lumina front doors? I'm going to put some components up front, and the ones i'm looking at are nearly 2.6" deep, bottom mount. stockgp Posted March 14, 2006 Report Share Posted March 14, 2006 ok, so from the mounting surface of the door you have about 1 and 3/8 inches. that gives you about a 1/8" gap between your magnet or enclosure back to the window. from the surface of the door to the speaker surface of the speaker pod is: at the shallow end 5/8", and at the deep end 1.5" i suspect that if you mount them any farther than that from the surface of the door, you will have to do some trimming on your door panel because the speakers sit pretty clos to the panels. hope that helps you Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
